My grandmother's favorite past time is to look for “the best old time sound” that at her 75 years probably makes her a dedicated audiophile. Interestingly, she never actually appreciated today's digital audio so much. When the world began to convert to CDs in the 80s of the 20th century, my grandmother stuck to vinyl.

She has got a lot of friends who enjoy music and so that couldn't be a complexity to get so huge collection as they used to permanently interchange records. She has even some Elvis Presley records. The great negative characteristic of vinyl is that it can be spoilt if it is utilized for hundred or even thousand times. Recently I viewed her collection and I found a huge amount of old time albums which are quite interesting for me.

Anyway, my granny newly decided that her grandchildren should get free access to these wonderful compositions. She understood that the most suitable way to do it is to use some device that is able to transform songs from vinyl to the form that would be comprehensible for PC.

My granny decided to buy USB turntables and with help of it to give us an opportunity to listen to her beloved records when we like. She told me that she got it from one audiophile site and she was not sure which version she would like to purchase.

For those of view less experienced than my granny, USB turntables are super-modern gadgets which permit you to transform your beloved vinyl albums into digital format. There are a lot of various models of such devices. One thing that my granny learnt is that expensive produce does not certainly produce a considerably better sound. That is why she made decision to set the limit of money that she can afford to expend on purchasing a turntable.

My granny analyzed all the offerings and chose the model that was most appropriate. It was Stanton t90 USB. And she could not decide between the Stanton devices and Numark USB turntable. She realized that it won't be enough only to study the articles about characteristics and she desired to try both models.

I called my sister to come to our grandmother and to see how she executes some experiments with her records. The response of my sister was similar to my. Having previewed some songs which had been already converted, she decided to upload lots of them to her iPod. That is a nice thing that lots of persons from older generation comprehend the importance of modern technologies.
